Pick up where you left off: your games are on the home page

Two changes this week, both about getting back into a game without hunting for the link.

Your games, on the home page

The home page now lists the rooms you've played in over the last two weeks. Each one says where things stand: Your turn, Their turn, In play, Waiting for them, or who won. The games waiting on you come first, so a slow game of Checkers played across a week is one tap away.

It checks again when you come back to the tab. A first visit shows nothing extra, and there's still no account: the list is tied to the anonymous player id your browser already uses to hold your seat.

Invites that work inside Instagram and WhatsApp

A lot of room links get opened inside the browser that's built into Instagram, Facebook or the Google app, and that's where invites quietly broke. Now:

• On a phone, the invite button opens the share sheet. Anywhere else it copies the link.
• When a browser blocks both, you get a link you can press and hold to copy, instead of a button that does nothing.
• If connecting fails, Start and Take a seat say so and offer a retry, instead of staying greyed out.
• A room re-checks the board when you come back to it, so a connection that dropped in the background can't leave you looking at an old move.

If an invite ever still gives you trouble, opening the link in Safari or Chrome always works.
